Pegasus Airlines extends Long-Term Contract with TURKISH TECHNIC for All Boeing Fleet
Pegasus Airlines and TURKISH TECHNIC have agreed to extend the Boeing 737-NG Wheel & Tire Services Contract between them. The current contract is including services of wheel and tires for Pegasus Boeing 737-NG aircraft that are equipped with steel brakes. The new extended contract will also include servicing wheel and tires for aircraft that have carbon brakes and lasts until 2017.
TURKISH TECHNIC, an association of TURKISH AIRLINES group companies (Istanbul Stock Exchange: THYAO), provides MRO services for Boeing and Airbus airframes, engines, auxiliary power units, landing gear and components. The company serves more than 100 airlines in Europe, the Middle East, Northern Africa, Turkey and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) with its maintenance bases in Istanbul & Ankara and highly qualified workforce of more than 3,000 personnel.
Pegasus Airlines, also based in Istanbul and which operates from Sabiha Gokcen International Airport (SAW/Turkey), has a fleet of 39 aircraft of which 34 are Boeing 737-800s. It has made an order for 40 Boeing 737-NGs of which 24 have already been delivered and 2 will be delivered by the end of 2011. Pegasus runs scheduled domestic flights as well as scheduled international flights to 50 destinations in 23 countries.
