Born in 1970, Yalcin Aydin completed his graduate program with scholarship in the Mechanical Engineering Department of Texas State Lamar University in the United States of America and did his doctoral studies as a research assistant in the Department of Nebraska University - Lincoln Mechanical Engineering. Afterwards, he completed the Executive MBA program of Middle East Technical University and the senior management certification program at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) University. Having started his career as a Design & CAE Engineer at FORD Motor Company in 1997, Yalcin Aydin was awarded by FORD company in 2000 for the simulation of deep drawing analysis of sheet metal molds using the finite element method. In the same year, he started to work as a special process manager at GE Aircraft Engines in the United States. Yalcin Aydin won the Corbett D. Caudill award, the most prestigious engineering excellence award of GE Aircraft Engines, in 2005 with the ITD (Integrated Tooling Design) project. ITD and Shot Peen Modeling Projects were nominated and patented for Tooling Design by GE Global Research Center in Albany, New York, USA. Between 2006 and 2009, he represented GE Aviation in the NADCAP (National Aerospace & Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) program for 3 years, taking the votes of all prime aviation companies. Aydin holds Certifying Agent certificates in the fields of Thermal Spray, Cleaning Dry Film Lubricants, Painting, Etching Removal Process, Hole Making, Material Testing Lab. He also has ISO9001 / ISO17025 / ISO13485 Lead Auditor and Green Belt certificates. In 2009, Aydin won the Thierry Leclercq, CEO special award at GE Healthcare. Aydin served as the Global Supply Chain Strategy Director responsible for EMEA at GE Company. Lastly, he worked as Turk Telekom Group Purchasing and Supplier Management Director and also served as the Vice President of Turk Telekom Basketball team between 2017 - 2019.
